Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be a surgical first assistant.
• Primarily orthopedic assignment, but must be strong in all specialties.
• Strong background in robots (XI), neuro, general, ortho, ENT, and vascular required.
• Must be familiar with breasts/plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, genitourinary (GU), gynecology (GYN), and robots (XI).
• Robots: no training unless the clinician has a strong background and is here for more than 1 contract.

Required Credentials:

• First assist skills checklist required; general ORT skills checklist not accepted.

Unit Details:

• Functions as Surgical First or Second Assistant for complex and basic operative or invasive procedures and may perform Surgical Technologist responsibilities if required.
• Cases include neuro/ENT, orthopedics, breasts/plastics, vascular, laparoscopic, general oncology, genitourinary (GU), gynecology (GYN), and robotics (XI).
• Uses Epic, Alaris, and Pyxis.

Special Requests:

• Holiday weeks: offer 4 10-hour shifts, or can work normal hours and request not to work the holiday.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Start Date will need to be at least 5 weeks out for onboarding
• On Call, Call Back Requirements 1930-2130 14/rotating Fridays 2130-0700: 1-2 per week (depending on staffing). with a 30-minute response time.
• Weekend Rotation: Weekend Rotation 1-2 Saturday and/or Sunday (all in an 8 week schedule) *subject to change based on staffing
• Variable day shift start times between 5:30am-7am.

Floating Requirements:

• Cross trained to all Main OR specialties and the Urology center, but no floating to other hospitals.
