Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation is required.
Unit Details:
- Team nursing and a pod system are used.
- Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in fast track.
- Equipment includes a Zoll defibrillator, Level One blood transfuser, QinFlow blood warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and i-STAT point-of-care devices, and ultrasound-guided IV equipment.
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, and psychiatric patients.
- Common diagnoses and treatments include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Minimum of two weekends per schedule.
- No call.
