Travel Allied (Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Required Credentials:

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Associates degree in Radiology Technology required.
• EKG training required.
• If you have RCIS, state license is not required.

Preferred Credentials:

• Nuclear Medicine Certification preferred.
• ODC preferred.

Unit Details:

• Assists with performing sterile diagnostic and interventional care for young adult through elderly patients.
• Procedures and cases include diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, interventional radiology, and vascular procedures, including PTCA, PCI, Rotablator, CSI, Penumbra, IVC filters, peripheral runoffs, acute and chronic occlusions, PTA/stenting, radiofrequency ablations, AAA repair, TCAR, carotid angiography, renal angiograms, graftograms/fistulograms, and EKOS.
• Assists with Balloon Pump / Impella insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting; intravascular ultrasound (IVUS); fractional flow reserve (FFR) / instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR); vascular access; maintaining/pulling arterial and/or venous sheaths; temporary pacemaker insertion; arterial and venous closure devices including Mynx, Vascade, Perclose, Angioseal, and TR Band; Spectranetics laser; thermodilution and invasive monitoring / hemodynamics calculations; structural heart procedures including TAVR, Watchman, PFO closures, and Mitraclips; pacemaker/ICD placement; loop recorder insertion/removal; cryoablations; electrical pulse field ablations; electrophysiology procedures; synchronized cardioversion/defibrillation; and radiological positioning/techniques.
• Responsibilities include maintaining contrast volume and reporting it to the physician as indicated, setting up and maintaining contrast delivery methods such as Acist device or manual manifold, troubleshooting X-ray and other cath lab equipment, gathering data for PCI registry, postmortem care, ACT, patient transport, and continuous hemodynamic assessment and documentation.
• Uses Philips XPER hemodynamic monitoring system.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Call coverage 24/7 (365 days) with a 30-minute hospital arrival time.
