Required Skills/Experience: Telemetry competency. Must be able to manage 6-7 patients depending on the shift. Urology and bowel experience.
Unit Details: Patient ratios: 1:6 on day shift, 1:7 on night shift. Equipment and therapies include telemetry, PCA, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, TPN, tube feeds, and urinary catheters. Typical procedures/cases include TPN, PCA, wound vacs, tube feeds, PEG tubes, Dobhoff tubes, NG tubes, colostomies and urostomies, biliary/JP/nephrostomy drains, urinary catheters, CBI, heparin drips, IV antibiotics, cholecystectomies, appendectomies, podiatry, bowel resections, plastics, urology surgeries and nephrectomies, hysterectomies, mastectomies, oral/maxillary procedures, thyroidectomies, and hernia repairs.
Shift & Scheduling: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
Floating Requirements: Floats to other med-surg areas.
