Travel Nurse (RN) - Neurologic Intensive Care Unit

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Special Requests

• RTO must be listed at time of submission.

Required Credentials

• Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Required Skills/Experience

• Surgical and neuro skills are required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• More Neuro ICU experience preferred, including post-craniotomy, stroke patients, and EVDs.

Unit Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Primarily a neurosurgical ICU caring for stroke, ICH, and craniotomy patients.
• Unit procedures include bedside EVD placement, bedside intubation procedures, neuro monitoring, and frequent neuro checks.

Shift & Scheduling

• No call.
• Weekend coverage required: minimum of 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks.
• Flexible contract hours: 48 per week approved.

Floating Requirements

• Floats to other ICU units.
