Unit Details: Outpatient medical imaging role. Responsibilities include positioning the chest, hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, knee, foot, or ankle for x-ray; operating X-ray equipment; processing images; and documenting into PACS. Provides basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse, including obtaining vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, obtaining specimens including blood draws if qualified, preparing patients for clinician evaluation, assisting the clinician, and keeping the area orderly and stocked with supplies and equipment. May perform selected procedures as defined in the Patient Care Standards Manual.
Required Credentials: California issued Fluoroscopy Permit.
Shift & Scheduling: May be scheduled on weekends. Holidays as required.
Floating Requirements: May also float to Main Radiology as needed.
