Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include Periop/OR, allied, and ambulatory RN travelers. Periop includes Endo, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, and SDS.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum experience required: 1 year required; 1st time travelers accepted if they have 3+ years of experience.
  • Scrub experience is required.
  • Circulate and conscious sedation required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Monitor and EP preferred.

Required Credentials:

  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Unit Details:

  • Documentation: Cerner, McKesson.
  • Equipment: McKesson-Hemo, balloon pumps, AngioJet, CSI Diamondback, Penumbra, Inari, Roto Pro, Jetstream BSCI, Philips/Siemens C-arms, ACIST, MEDRad power injector, Medtronic temporary pacer, IVUS, Abbott OCT.
  • Procedures include IR venous access, G/GJ/J tube placement/replacement, angiograms, venograms, PV, neph tubes, abscess drains, TIPS, filter placement, PE/DVT thrombectomy, fistulagram/declotting; cardiac LHC, RHC, STEMI, pericardial effusion/pericardial centesis, temporary and permanent pacer/defib, balloon pumps; EP devices and ablations.
  • Patient population includes STEMI/MI, CAD, pericardial effusion, PAD, sepsis, DVT, and PE across adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Block scheduling TBD with the call requirement; it could mean being on call on a day off.
  • Call required: minimum 2 days a week and every 3rd weekend.
