References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Credentials: Pass/fail open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation; must receive 90% to pass. You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must reside outside 50 miles of the facility. Cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
Unit Details: Adult Med-Surg/Tele unit with a small amount of pediatrics (1-5 peds per year). Common diagnoses include post-surgical, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, weakness, and cancer. Uses Alaris IV pumps. Serves a diverse patient population, including African American and Korean-speaking communities.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements: Float to 6E, acute rehab unit, and geriatric psych unit.
