Travel Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical Unit

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Ability to work independently in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and Med/Surg.
• Previous charge nurse experience required; ability to work in charge nurse capacity as back-up.

Special Requests:

• Blocked scheduling will be considered, but not all weeks can be guaranteed as blocked.

Unit Details:

• Critical access hospital setting.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: OB: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 early labor, postpartum couplets up to 1:3 (1:3 is a rare occurrence); Med/Surg: up to 1:5, typical 1:3-4.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.
• On-call only if agreeable due to low census; call back only in emergency situations.

Floating Requirements:

• Must be able to float between Med/Surg and OB; would float to Med/Surg as helping hands if OB is closed.
