IV start and telemetry skills required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Cardiac experience preferred.
Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
WMC parking costs $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days.
WB parking costs $196.20/year; shuttle service is available for the West Campus lots.
CXS parking costs $393.96/year.
WB and CXS permits require annual upfront payment and are not available as monthly permits; WMC is available monthly.
Unit Details:
The unit provides lower-acuity cardiac progressive care for vascular and cardiac surgery patients.
Adult and geriatric patient population.
Patients may arrive directly from the OR, after PACU recovery, from the ED, or by direct admission from home or clinic.
Patients include vascular and cardiac surgery cases such as CABG, valve procedures, TAVR, vascular stents/grafts, AAA, lower-extremity bypass, TEVAR/EVAR, carotid stents, and CEA, as well as post-lung-transplant patients.
Secondary diagnoses include GI bleed, chronic or acute renal failure, exacerbation of airway disease, diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, sepsis, and heart failure.
Shift & Scheduling:
Weekdays and some weekends.
Rotating holidays.
Floating Requirements:
Floating is required within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
