Travel Allied (Sterile Processing Tech) - Sterile Processing Unit

Required Credentials:
Must hold one of these certifications: HSPA, CBSPD, or NBSTSA.

Unit Details:
Central processing includes cleaning/decontamination, preparation, sterilization, storage, and use of items from surgical services and other hospital departments.
Transports instruments, supplies, and equipment to the decontamination area for processing.
Operates the sonic cleaner, washer/disinfector, and cart washer as part of the decontamination process.
Inspects, prepares, wraps, and assembles instrument baskets/containers.
Loads, operates, unloads, and cleans Sterrad and steam sterilizers, including managing their parameters.
Unloads the cooling rack and stores instruments.
Performs surgical case picking and issues sterile goods.
Distributes supplies and instruments in a timely manner.
Notifies the supervisor of equipment failures, instrument issues, and other needs.
