References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
First-time travelers accepted if they have Level 1 Trauma Experience.
Circulate experience required.
Must have experience in heart/lung transplant, valve replacement, aortic dissection, receiving pump lines from perfusion, and preparing them for cannulation.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests:
IU Health will not allow IN RNs to work at their facilities. Exceptions include: Periop/OR RNs, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes Endo, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.
Unit Details:
Scrub not required for this CVOR position.
Cases include heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, ECMO, and endovascular procedures.
Adult and geriatric patient population.
DaVinci XI Methodist.
Shift & Scheduling:
Weekday shifts.
Call and holiday coverage required.
Call required: 90-120 hours of call in a 6 week schedule.
1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning).
Floating Requirements:
OR RNs need to be well rounded and current in most areas except CV & Transplant as they will be floated where needed.
Float to other OR specialties.
