You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: CRRT (NxStage/NextStage CVVH), IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in a cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable area preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Typical assignment is 1-2 patients; may be assigned 3 general care patients when acuity is low and staffing resources are limited. Assignments often change throughout the shift as patients transfer out of the ICU and new patients are admitted from the OR, ER, referring facilities, or the community. Planned and emergent procedures frequently take place on the unit. Cares for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, including CABG, valve repair/replace, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night 12-hour shifts, working 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. Every other weekend. Some holidays. No call.
