Required Skills/Experience:
Acute Cardiac Unit/Stepdown experience is required, including post-procedure monitoring and management of patients following cardiac interventions (e.g., PCI, ablation, pacemaker/ICD insertion, and TAVR) and vasoactive medication management.
Demonstrated skills in IV administration and telemetry monitoring are required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Current cardiovascular interventional nursing experience within the last 5 years is preferred.
Required Credentials:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Completion of an intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) course is required.
Unit Details:
The role includes assuming and demonstrating proficiency in the charge nurse role.
The RN serves as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff teaching.
Lead apron use is required.
Shift & Scheduling:
Rotating days and shifts include 7a-5:30p, 8a-6:30p, and 9a-7:30p.
On-call is required in rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays, with on-site availability within 30 minutes.
