Special Requests:
Each employment history entry must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to.
If previously employed by Sanford Health, Good Samaritan Society, or Marshfield Clinic Health System, a full 6 months off is required prior to submission. Must disclose previous employment on the resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Required Skills/Experience:
Level IV NICU experience.
Must be able to administer medications through a PICC line.
2+ years performing neonatal assessments and caring for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, OG and NG feedings, and G-tubes.
Unit Details:
Level IV NICU caring for neonates.
Assists with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, and admissions.
Uses conventional ventilators (Draeger), high-frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator), nitric oxide, cool cap, MedFusion pumps, smart pumps, Spacelab monitors, MAK for medications, and Accudose.
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants; 3:1 for infants who are growing and feeding.
Shift & Scheduling:
Day/night rotating schedule. Every other weekend.
Floating Requirements:
Able and willing to float to PICU and PEDS.
