Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Experienced with all areas of the department, including decontamination of all items (Drills, Davinci, scopes), sterilization process (sterrad and steam), HLD/scope experience, sterile storage, OR liaison experience, Censitrac tracking system experience, moving case carts, separating dirties, filling case cart needs for cases for the next day, and taking OR calls for both floors of surgery. Medivator experience.

Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. IAHCSMM or CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA

Special Requests: Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities. Former OSU employees, both staff and travelers, are not eligible.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Instrumentation Coordinator role responsible for preparing, sterilizing, installing, assembling, and cleaning equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. Ensures sterilized, appropriately functioning medical supplies and instrumentation are packaged and delivered aseptically to the point of use. Serves as a clinical liaison between the operating rooms and the CSS offsite location to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation across the enterprise. Responsible for procuring and standardizing instrument trays across the enterprise.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday through Friday and occasional scheduled holidays. Weekend shift option: 6am-6:30pm (Sat, Sun, and one weekday shift) or 6pm-6:30am (Sat, Sun, and one weeknight shift).

Floating Requirements: Floating may be required between OSU locations, including Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, East, and ambulatory sites (Dublin, New Albany, EEI, Jameson Crane, West Campus).
