Travel Allied (Respiratory Therapist) - Respiratory Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have Level IV NICU experience.
• Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Cardiac PICU experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:

• Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests:

• Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.

Unit Details:

• Children's Hospital setting with a pediatric emergency department, Level IV NICU, and PICU for patients younger than 18.
• Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population.
• Cares for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics.
• Complex congenital heart program caring for patients with congenital cardiac defects, including transplants and ECMO.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
• Every other weekend. Every other holiday.
• Self-scheduling model; preferred schedule is not guaranteed but accommodations will be attempted.

Floating Requirements:

• Required to work in all units of the Children's Hospital.
