Required Credentials:
Nursing Diploma OR ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Preferred Credentials:
BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
Unit Details:
Treats both adults and pediatrics in inpatient and outpatient settings.
The role includes some peripheral access; most patients have ports that the nurse must access.
Primary equipment is Optia.
Therapeutic apheresis procedures include plasma exchange, red blood cell exchange, and HPC stem cell collections, supporting renal, pulmonary, and BMT programs.
Shift & Scheduling:
On-call every 4th weekend, 1 night during the weekend.
The clinic is closed on weekends; the on-call nurse would come in for emergent cases.
