Travel Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Required Credentials:

• ENPC accepted in place of PALS.
• Must pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
• Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months, including as full-time, part-time, or PRN staff at any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility.
• No previous employment allowed at this facility.
• Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details:

• Fast track available.
• Separate triage area; travelers may occasionally do triage.
• ER holds are intermixed within the ER, and staff care for their own holds.
• No separate psych/seclusion rooms.
• Common diagnoses include trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac cases.
• No monitor techs; RNs read strips and must know ECG rhythms.
• X-ray and CT are next to the ED.
• Tech or RN draws labs/phlebotomy.
• Support staff includes nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Every other holiday.
• No call.

Floating Requirements:

• Floats to units qualified for.
