Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: SVD (no VBAC), cesarean section, OB triage, nonstress test, postpartum, nursery, care of newborn and procedures, management of hemorrhages, fetal monitoring and interventions, management of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients.
Preferred Credentials: BSN preferred.
Unit Details: LDRP unit covering labor and delivery, recovery, triage, postpartum, and nursery. Postpartum couplet care and a level 1 nursery. Uses Omnicell medication dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and fetal heart rate monitoring equipment. Patient ratios: Per AWHONN Standards. Patient population includes adults and newborns. Common diagnoses/treatments include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, pre-eclampsia, cesarean section, inductions, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.
Shift & Scheduling: Call requirements: None.
Floating Requirements: Potential to float to other departments depending on patient census and department needs.
