Preferred Credentials: Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduation from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
Unit Details: Administer and monitor conscious sedation during procedures and circulate in a sterile environment. Procedures include: left and right heart catheterizations, PCIs, temporary and permanent pacemakers, ICDs, EP procedures, TEEs and cardioversions, venous ablations, peripheral vascular angiograms. Uses Pyxis, XIM (Philips monitoring system), Xcelera, ultrasounds, Angiojets, EKOS machines, and Acist contrast injection system.
Shift & Scheduling: Varying day shifts: 0530-1600, 0630-1700, and 0730-1800. Will be on the mandate list to fill any vacant call that is not picked up. On-call 1-2 times per week and 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks, with a 30-minute response time.
