Travel Allied (Respiratory Therapist) - Respiratory Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must have experience in a similar-size facility and setting.

Special Requests:

• Block scheduling may be allowed if it works for unit needs and schedule.

Unit Details:

• Treatment volume varies by day and may range from 10 to 30 treatments, with scheduled and PRN treatments performed per protocol assessment.
• Mainly adult patients, some pediatrics, and rarely neonates; critical babies are stabilized and transferred to Children's Hospital in Omaha.
• Covers inpatient Med-Surg, ER, and ICU.
• Responsibilities include drawing ABGs, nebulizer and breathing treatments, inhaler teaching as needed, vent management, BiPAP, heated high flow, and EKGs when the diagnostic department is closed.
• Assists with intubation rather than intubating independently.
• Uses Draeger vents, V60 BiPAP, Optiflow heated high flow, and Respironics CPAP.

Shift & Scheduling:

• May flex up or down; travelers must be flexible.
• Every 3rd weekend for day shift (Sat/Sun).
• No call; extra open shifts may be offered for sign-up when there are call-ins or additional staffing needs.
