Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. Pass/fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation; must score 90% to pass.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Eligibility as current/previous employee: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Submission limit: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
Unit Details: Nurse:patient ratios: 1:4, 1:3 for post-surgical patients in the first 24 hours. Patients require intermediate care and include downgraded CVICU patients; the unit heavily supports the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart. Common diagnoses/types of patients: Cath Lab, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR, and other cardiac and vascular related diagnoses. RNs are required to titrate drips including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and multiple other medications for blood pressure management. Uses BiPAP, CPAP, nasal cannula, remote tele techs, tele hardwired, and tele box capabilities. RNs must read and interpret their own telemetry strips.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Manager does schedule; no self-scheduling.
Floating Requirements: Will float to all same level and lower levels of acuity.
