Required Credentials:
Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Strong vascular/IR experience is very important.
Familiarity with Hybrid OR procedures is very important.
Special Requests:
Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.
Unit Details:
Techs will not scrub.
Provides imaging support in the OR for vascular IR procedures.
The role involves active participation in the entire case workflow rather than simply operating the equipment.
Pulls inventory and orders cases prior to procedures.
Runs the table and controls during cases.
Performs 3D spins and uses fusion technology.
Remains actively engaged in the room throughout the procedure, including filming and post-processing images.
Uses HI-IQ to document and add inventory used during the case.
Works closely with vascular surgeons, the OR team, and other procedural team members.
During downtime, uses a C-arm to support simple surgical cases alongside X-ray staff, including Impellas and cystos (AP fluoroscopy looking at the kidneys and bladder).
Travelers may be asked to help another employee learn, answer questions, review workflows, or go over equipment and procedures during downtime.
Shift & Scheduling:
Call required: every 4th week; schedule includes 1 weekend a month and 4 weekdays a month.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
