Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Two years actively doing echocardiograms preferred.

Required Credentials:

• A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered, registry eligible, or comparable national accreditation required.

Preferred Credentials:

• Two-year allied health education program that is patient-care related preferred. Allied health occupations include but are not limited to diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and/or registered nurse.

Special Requests:

• Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.

Unit Details:

• Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients.
• Performs 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
• Assists cardiologist during exam dictation by preparing and measuring M-modes and sharing pertinent diagnostic information.
• Coordinates exam scheduling, patient transport, and billing information entry.
• Maintains quality control of echo equipment and coordinates repairs as needed.
• Assists with other cardiac procedures as needed.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend coverage required.
• Shares responsibility for on-call coverage for echo emergency exams outside regular working hours, as established by department policy.
