Travel Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care

Required Credentials:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
RTO will not be considered if requested after an offer or after signing the contract.
A one-time $10 fee applies for the Alaska Food Worker Certification.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Shift & Scheduling:
Night: 19:00-07:30; Day: 7:00-19:30.
Caregivers are not asked to rotate between night/day shifts, except for occasional urgent staffing needs. Shifts will be either days or nights, depending on facility needs at the time of the start date.
No call.
No more than 1 week of RTO will be considered for a 13-week contract and no more than 2 weeks of RTO will be considered for a 26-week contract.
Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Preference is for travelers to be willing and able to work any holidays.
Traveler can be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.

Unit Details:
Unit care includes Accuchecks, implanted glucose sensors, PEG-tube (G-tube) feedings, Duopa pumps, IV hydration as needed, phlebotomy lab draws, peritoneal dialysis (subcutaneous only), respiratory treatments (nebulizers), and wound care.
Patient population includes dementia, Alzheimer's, TBI, plegics, cognitive impairments, physical impairments, and other diagnoses appropriate for LTC level of care.
