All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted only with strong experience and more than 10 years of experience. Grossing experience required. Previous hospital experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Thin Prep preferred. 24 Hour Urine preferred.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Histology work includes grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining including automated IHC and special stains, and some manual special stains. Routine hospital anatomical pathology specimens. Cytology work includes Thin Prep, cell block, cytospin, and GYN specimens.
Shift & Scheduling: Sunday-Thursday schedule. RTO: No more than 7 days.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission.
