Travel Allied (Surgical Tech) - Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience: Experience in ortho, neuro, GYN, ENT, and GI.

Preferred Credentials: Associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred.

Special Requests: Car travel to off-site locations may be required, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.

Unit Details: Scrub role for operative and other invasive procedures; prepares sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment, maintains the sterile field, performs counts with the circulating RN, handles specimens, assists with room turnover, and performs skin prep/clipping and urinary catheter insertion as indicated. Cases include ENT, vascular, thoracic, ortho, plastics, GYN, colorectal, podiatry, pain, pediatric dental, general surgery, bariatrics including robotics, neurosurgery, and some pulmonary. No eye or cardiac surgery. Cares for patients across the lifespan, from neonates through geriatrics.

Shift & Scheduling: On-call as scheduled; must be available within department time frames.

Floating Requirements: Will need to float to Allen if necessary; Allen has 2 ORs performing ortho, pain, endo, and podiatry. No call at Allen facility.
