Travel Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience in a similar facility for acuity.
• Experience with fresh open heart post-op patients, transplant experience, and experience with the following devices: Aquadex (renal replacement therapy), Impella, ECMO.

Special Requests:

• RTO: Manager approval.

Unit Details:

• Very high acuity pediatric patient population ages 0-18 years old.
• Cares for patients with congenital heart differences that have undergone surgery, medical management of pre-transplant and post-transplant, s/p cath lab, ventricular assistive devices, ECMO, Impella, dialysis, and Aquadex (renal replacement therapy).
• Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend or fewer as needed (Fri/Sat/Sun).
• On-call: None.
• Travelers will work 75% of holidays; unit requirement is every other holiday.
• Shift times: 0645 – 1845, 1845 - 0645.
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements:

• Float to PICU, NICU, and Gen Peds as needed.
