OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center is Oklahoma’s only Level I Trauma Center.
Required Skills/Experience:
Clinicians should have strong Trauma Level 1 experience and/or be willing to work with difficult cases.
Acute and Trauma experience required
Required Credentials:
If a BSN degree is the highest level of education, verify the graduation date and upload a copy of your diploma to your credentials.
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Unit Details:
Occupational therapy activities include planning, evaluating, establishing, and implementing individual and group treatment activities.
Occupational therapists interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures.
Patient evaluations cover independent living skills, occupational performance, prevocational work adjustment, educational skills, play-leisure abilities, social skills, and psychosocial skills.
Treatment plans include short- and long-term goals, treatment frequency, and duration.
Treatment includes the design and fabrication of adaptive equipment and orthotic devices, joint protection, and body mechanics.
The role includes informing patients and families of goals and progress.
Discharge planning includes ordering equipment and instructing patients on a home therapy plan.
May supervise students.
Floating Requirements:
Travelers will be first to float.
