Required Skills/Experience: IV start, telemetry, ventilators, and intracranial pressure monitoring.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to any Ohio State University facilities if you have an active application to any of the James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities.
Unit Details: Adult patient population. Bedside procedures include tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), central line and arterial line placement, and EVD placement. Cares for patients requiring invasive neuromonitoring, mechanical ventilation, and EEG monitoring. Patient population includes ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barré syndrome, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery patients undergoing procedures such as spinal surgery, craniotomies, and cerebrovascular surgery.
Shift & Scheduling: Day/night rotation every 4 weeks. 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every other weekend. For day shift, weekends are Saturday and Sunday. For night shift, weekends are Friday and Saturday, and Sunday nights are not classified as weekend shifts.
Floating Requirements: Required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed, within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
