Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Driver's license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license.
Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/TDAP declinations.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Open heart recovery experience required.
• Post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required.

Required Credentials:

• Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of at least 80%, 2 attempts allowed.
• Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score, 2 attempts allowed.
• Ascension Pharmacology Exam required during onboarding; Pharmacology 1 or 2, minimum 80% score, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests:

• Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.
• In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver's license.

Unit Details:

• Post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, TAVRs, and post complex PCI interventions.
• Post-open heart and post-cardiac procedures; central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements.
• Uses Edwards monitoring, GE monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
