Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required.
• IABP, Impella, HM3 LVAD, ECMO, and Zoll Thermoguard experience required.
• Basic arrhythmia experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in a cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable area preferred.

Required Credentials:

• Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

Unit Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Cares for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant, and cardiac medical patients, including CABG, valve repair/replace, aneurysm repair, aortic dissection repair, LVAD, thoracic surgery, STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiogenic shock, heart failure, and arrhythmia management.
• Wide range of acuity with planned admissions from the OR and unplanned admissions from the ER, referring facilities, or the community.
• Planned and emergent procedures are frequently performed on the unit.
• Typical assignment is 1-2 patients; may be assigned 3 general care patients when acuity is low and staffing resources are limited.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Some holidays.
• No call.
