Travel Nurse (RN) - Wound / Ostomy Care

Must have NYS Nursing License Registration and NYS copy of physical license/diploma for submission.

Individual Professional Liability coverage is mandatory for assignment duration (only individual malpractice insurance is accepted by the facility).

Clinician must complete additional skills section of resume with detailed description of patient populations and procedures worked for each work history.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience.
• Colostomy experience required.

Required Credentials:

• Associates Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accreditated Nursing Program.
• Current certification in one of the following is accepted: Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or Wound Care Certified (WCC).

Special Requests:

• All time off and special requests should be discussed directly with managers upon arrival (no pre-approval).
• Clinicians must start assignments within 30 days of receiving an offer.

Unit Details:

• Conducts wound, ostomy, and continence assessments and develops care plans based on individual client needs.
• Manages fistula and complex wound treatments, pressure injury prevention, and patient, family, and staff education.
• Uses specialty beds and negative pressure devices.

Shift & Scheduling:

• (3) shifts 07:30 am-06:30pm and (1) shift 7:30am-4:00pm weekly.
• No on-call required.
• Overtime not allowed at NYCHH facilities (requires written manager approval in rare cases).
