Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be comfortable with IV starts due to limited onsite resources and no IV team. Basic telemetry arrhythmia knowledge.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience/knowledge of TURPs-CBI preferred. Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience preferred.

Special Requests: Previous Marshfield employees must have an end date at least 6 months before submission. Must take a full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Can't guarantee block scheduling; longer blocks of 6 shifts may be considered when able.

Unit Details: Patient ratios are 5:1 for day shift and 6:1 at 11pm. LPNs work until 11pm; team nursing with LPNs uses 2:7 ratios. Common diagnoses/cases include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgical cases including ortho hips and knees, choles, appys, and TURPs-CBI. Small peds population (about 3/year) is not typically assigned to travelers unless they have prior experience or there are no other options. Limited onsite resources; RT oversees the entire hospital. No drip titration. Charge nurse takes an assignment, and travelers could be placed as relief charge. Hospitalist coverage is in house until 6pm daily, then telemed is used. RT is available 24/7; equipment includes CPAP. Telemetry strips are done in ICU daily; physical monitor at nurses desk.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 2 of 3 holidays. Opportunity/potential to be placed on call or standby. Self-scheduling is accommodated when possible.

Floating Requirements: Must be able to float to like units and patient populations.
