Travel Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Clinic

Required Credentials:

• Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing.
• A valid driver's license.
• Cannot have any disciplinary action on state license.

Special Requests:

• Must be able to start within 2 weeks of the expected start date.

Unit Details:

• Plans and provides comprehensive nursing care for inmate/resident patients, including executing Licensed Independent Provider orders, dispensing and administering medications, and assisting providers in examinations and treatment.
• Attend sick call with the physician, prepare inmates/residents to be examined, and prepare the examining room and equipment.
• Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures.
• Examine and assess new inmates/residents with illnesses or injuries or inmates/residents who become ill or injured; refer inmates/residents to the emergency room or other appropriate healthcare facility as required by their condition.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed and notify Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders.
• Provide guidance, supervise, and monitor nursing care provided by licensed vocational/practical nursing staff and non-licensed medical staff.
• Observe and record inmate/resident behavior; inspect the medical unit for contraband; provide individual or group health counseling and education.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Must be willing to work days or nights for the primary shift; shift will be determined by facility needs.
• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Must have open availability for scheduling as needed per the client scheduling policy.

Details:

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
