Travel Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room

Required Skills/Experience:

• Able to scrub and circulate adult or pediatric open-heart cases.
• Critical care experience required.

Unit Details:

• Outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases.
• Case mix includes GSW, stabbings, kidney and heart transplants, donor cases, general, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and open hearts/CABGs.
• Hybrid room sees adults only for TAVR, AAA, endarterectomies, angiograms, and fistula revisions.
• Approximately 20% pediatric cases including open hearts, appy, and chole.
• No liver or lung transplants.
• Participates in Gifts of Hope cases.
• Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every 4th weekend (Saturday-Sunday).
• 6-week schedule; schedules are provided 2-4 weeks in advance.
• Schedule is rotation-based with no self-scheduling; staff are assigned where needed based on the rotation.
• Holiday coverage required.
• On-call is dependent on shift/service line; 30 min. response time required. Sleeping room available for on-call team member.
• OR operates Monday-Friday 0730-2300 and Saturday-Sunday 0700-1700; after-hours coverage is for trauma and urgent cases only.
