Unit Details:
Equipment includes ventilators, IABP (cath lab stays on site), A-lines, and CPAP.
Patient ratios are 1-4 depending on patient status.
Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients.
Common diagnoses/treatments include DKA, STEMI, CVA, and respiratory failure.
Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend coverage is every other weekend.
No call.
Floating Requirements:
May float to Med-Surg if the ICU is closed for the shift.
