Required Credentials:
At least one of the following is required depending upon practice area: ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPFT, or an advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in the Bronchoscopy Lab.
Unit Details:
Provides pediatric respiratory care including airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary function testing, arterial punctures, tracheostomy care and tracheostomy tube changes, endotracheal intubations and extubations, ventilator setup, monitoring, and weaning.
When working with Carolina Air Care, may transport pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals and perform advanced procedures including UAC, UVC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABGs, and blood glucose monitoring.
When working with ECMO, may manage extracorporeal circulation for cardiac and respiratory support.
