Travel Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Unit

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum/couplet care, triage, and C-section patients requiring circulating support. Active labor patients receiving oxytocin are staffed 1:1; general labor ratios are 1:1–2; postpartum staffing is typically 1 nurse to 3 couplets. RNs titrate drips including oxytocin and insulin; CRNAs manage epidural rate adjustments. Uses the OBEX fetal monitoring system. Labor RNs read their own strips and document according to AWHONN standards. Post-op C-section patients receive 1:1 recovery care for 2 hours.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holiday work required. On-call may be required if needed.

Floating Requirements: If census is low, may float to MedSurg to assist with aide work, sitter duties, or helping-hands support when appropriate. Floating dates are rotated for fairness.
