Travel Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• 24 months of Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience in a hospital or medical center setting.
• Neurology/neurosurgery care experience required.
• Ortho/orthopedic care experience required.
• Drip experience with Heparin, PCA, and 3% Sodium/Na required.
• EKG/strip reading and measuring/telemetry experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Trauma care experience highly preferred.
• Experience with telemetry, lift equipment, chest tubes, and Airvo highly preferred.

Preferred Credentials:

• De-escalation certificate preferred; CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA accepted.

Special Requests:

• Past UPH FTE or PRN float pool employees cannot work travel in another market if they currently work there or worked there within the past 12 months; this does not apply to prior UPH travel employees.

Unit Details:

• Heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, and orthopedic patient population.
• References may be charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference

Shift & Scheduling:

• Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
• Every 3rd weekend.
• No call.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.

Floating Requirements:

• Required to float across all campuses: Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran Hospital, and MWH.
