Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • First-timers accepted: no; 1 year travel experience required if recent Epic experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Unit Details:

  • Adult and geriatric patient population.
  • Responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and coordinating interventions and consultations.
  • ED procedures and treatments include, but are not limited to, moderate and deep sedation, US, intubation, cardioversion, D&C's, sexual assault exams, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and imminent deliveries.
  • Patient population includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychosis/psychological emergencies, and sepsis. Patients frequently present with alcohol/drug abuse history or complex medical history.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 3x12 nights 1700-0530 and 1900-0730.
  • Every other weekend.
  • No call.
  • RTO restrictions: 1 week max.

Floating Requirements:

  • Floating within hospital only; no floating to sister hospitals.
