Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Ability to work independently in Labor & Delivery, Post-partum, and Med/Surg. Ability to work in charge nurse capacity as back-up. Previous charge experience is required

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience working in Critical Access Hospital is beneficial.
  • 3 years of experience.

Required Credentials: Associate's Degree or Certificate.

Preferred Credentials:

Unit/Facility Details: Nurse to Patient Ratio: OB – (Low risk) 1:1 active labor, 1:2 for early labor, post-partum (couplets) up to 1:3 (1:3 is a rare occurrence), Med/Surg – up to 1:5 typical is 1:3-4

Special Requests:

Shift & Scheduling:

  • Weekend/Holiday: every third weekend and holiday rotation
  • Float Requirements: Critical Access Hospital. Must be able to float between MS and OB.
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: Would only be on call if agreeable to do so due to low census. Call back would only occur in an emergency situation.

Floating Requirements: Must be able to float between MS and OB.

An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
