Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must have two years ER experience - trauma Level I/II in the past three years. Level III or CAH not acceptable experience.
  • Floating experience does not count toward experience requirement. Correctional facility experience does not count toward experience requirement.
  • RN must read own tele; monitor tech support is also available.

Special Requests:

  • If you require an interview with the manager, please make a note of it in your special requests.
  • Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule.
  • Cannot have an employment gap in the past 4+ months.
  • Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
  • References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

Shift & Scheduling:

  • 36-hour guarantees only (no 48s); can pick up additional shifts.
  • Varied shift start times: 7, 10, 11, 12, 1, and 3. Modified self-scheduling.
  • 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block.
  • Typically 2 of the 5 holidays required (count the eves).

Floating Requirements:

  • Shared schedule with Foothills; typically scheduled ahead of time, with infrequent last-minute floating.
  • Foothills freestanding ER is approximately a 15-minute drive.
