Travel Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Unit

Required Skills/Experience:

• Ability to care for 6 telemetry patients/post cardiac procedures including PCI, PPM, ICD, or ablations.
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips.
• Discharge planning and patient education.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• One previous successful travel nursing assignment.
• 30 months RN or LPN nursing experience.
• Phlebotomy.
• Administers breathing treatments outside of the ICU, including inhalers and nebulizers.
• Experience with telemetry and post cath lab patients.
• Management of cardiac drips, including Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, and Dobutamine.

Unit Details:

• Uses i-mobile phones for each care team member, mobile computer workstations on wheels, MobiLab lab drawers, and Alaris IV pumps.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• Holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Floating Requirements:

• Travelers are first to float.
• May be floated to the emergency department to care for inpatient holds, the telemetry monitoring room, or PCU.
