Required Skills/Experience: Must be Level III NICU nurses who can do vents, oscillators, pressors, ana micro preemies. 2 to 3 years
Unit/Facility Details: Neonates are primarily admitted from the labor and delivery. The NICU patient population ranges from as early as 23 weeks gestation to 4 months. NICU respond to neonatal emergencies providing assessment and immediate care to newborns post delivery needing closer observation and attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries. Conditions treated on the unit may include, but are not limited to: extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome.
