Travel Nurse (RN) - Oncology Unit

Required Skills/Experience:
Dysrhythmia interpretation and management are required.
Administration of chemotherapy is required.
Accessing and managing ports is required.
Administration of blood and blood products is required.
Central line blood draws and central line/implanted line care are required.
PICC line care is required.
Starting and maintaining IVs are required.
Experience with antibiotics and antiemetics is required.
Foley catheter insertion and management are required.
Experience with isolation precautions is required.
Telemetry interpretation and monitoring are required.
MS experience is required.
Candidates missing any required skills will be screened.

Required Credentials:
RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.
No medical marijuana cards accepted.

Special Requests:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Monthly parking passes cost $73 in the North Surface Lot, $63 in the Clayton Ave. Building Southeast Lot, or $73 in the Clayton Taylor Garage; price and availability may vary.

Unit Details:
Adult patient population.
The patient population includes adults receiving BMT oncology care for leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, including complications from blood cancers such as GVHD.
The unit performs autologous stem cell transplants.

Shift & Scheduling:
BJC policy: Every other weekend required.

Floating Requirements:
Floating is required throughout the Oncology department as needed; clinicians will be floated to the unit with the greatest need per shift and will not always work specifically on 9800.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
