Travel Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology

Required Skills/Experience:

• Direct patient care in the Imaging Department, including monitoring patient condition.
• Observe and record vital signs.
• Maintain intravenous lines for patients receiving IV fluids.
• Administer first aid and assist with patient comfort when applicable.
• Administer medications under the direction of a physician.
• Assist with procedures in the Imaging Department.
• Maintain IV skills.
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies used in emergency patient care, including crash cart and emergency drug reaction kit inventory.
• Act as a liaison between the Imaging Department and the patient care division.
• Maintain proper documentation of patient records while the patient is in the Imaging Department.
• Notify appropriate staff of adverse changes in patient condition or problems encountered with patient care.
• Coordinate with the patient care division on imaging policy and procedure changes that affect patient care, including patient preps for specific imaging exams.

Preferred Credentials:

• Certification with ARNA preferred.

Unit Details:

• Performs invasive and non-invasive procedures in the IR suite, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and diagnostic imaging.
• Uses Nihonkohden patient monitors.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend hours as needed.
• On-call rotation required.
