Travel Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Unit

All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Credentials

Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests

RTO must be listed at time of submission.

Shift & Scheduling

No call.
Weekend coverage requires 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Unit Details

Patient ratios are variable.
One Labor & Delivery nurse may be scheduled per shift, so the nurse must work independently while managing labor patients and caring for OB triage and outpatient patients as needed.
When a single Labor & Delivery nurse is staffed, the charge nurse serves as L&D backup or an on-call team member is available for support.
Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines whenever possible.

Floating Requirements

Floating to other units, such as Medical-Surgical or the Emergency Department, is not required; however, the nurse is expected to assist with postpartum and nursery care when patient volumes and staffing needs warrant.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
