Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: General OR and trauma experience required. Bariatric case experience: laparoscopic assisted cases. General surgery case experience: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple. Neurology case skills/experience: cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion. Orthopedic case skills/experience: arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, closed reduction of fractures, open reduction of fractures. Plastic surgery case skills/experience: free flap - microvascular. Transplant skills/experience: organ donation. Urology case skills/experience: cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy. Trauma case skills/experience: amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA (multiple injuries). Emergency management skills/experience: code response, fire safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia. Equipment/instrumentation/supplies experience: electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, Hana tables. Professional knowledge and skills: administration of blood products, infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization.

Special Requests: All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.

Unit Details: Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. All service lines except CV.

Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. 1 weekend per month. On-call 1/week, though it is not usually that often anymore.

Floating Requirements: Will float within scope to meet facility needs; rarely happens.
